Zacuto to Sponsor 2012 In[Focus] Event Filmmaking Workshops

Zacuto is happy to be a sponsor of the 2012 In[Focus] event filmmaking workshops. This time, the event will be held January 16-19 in Charleston, South Carolina. Because event filmmakers preserve the legacies of others, the theme for the 2012 In[Focus] event is “Legacy.” The In[Focus] workshops aim to educate filmmakers as to what skills they need to equip themselves in order to have an attractive and profitable filmmaking legacy while continuing the pursuit of bringing intentional, relational and educational gatherings to the event filmmaking community.

Attendees will reflect upon the legacies of those that have brought them to where they are today and focus on building legacies of their own through 12 platform presentations from a variety of innovative industry leaders including Konrad Czystowski, Dave Williams, Matt Davis, Adam Forgione, Michael Y. Wong, Andrew Waite, Tatjana Green, David Robin, Ray Roman, Rebecka Forrester-Padilla, Katy Carrier and Drew Renner. In[Focus] 2012 will help participants learn how to develop a strong business with deep roots that will serve as a legacy to their name.

“Our forte is teaching budding artists to tell a story through a wedding event and to be profitable in that pursuit,” says In[Focus] Educational Maestro, Christopher Patrick Jones. “Our attendees take these storytelling skills and apply them to every kind of filmmaking project in which they involve themselves whether it be commercial, promotional, feature or non-profit. We are college students and young professionals, mothers and fathers, husbands and wives. We are part-timers, full timers, overtimers and old timers. We stay out late and get up early to gather together to celebrate the opportunity to makes films for a living.”

The In[Focus] presenters are drawn from a pool of some of the most talented and successful event filmmakers in the industry today. They will cover such topics as color grading, storytelling, lighting design, artistic design and legal protection.

According to Stephen Nathans-Kelly of EventDV magazine, IN[FOCUS] 2011 was “the four most satisfying, captivating, inspiring, and rewarding days I’ve experienced anywhere, anytime in 6 years in this industry.”

Charleston, South Carolina is a town rich with artistic vibe. The In[Focus] workshops will be a great opportunity to eat, drink and share successes and failures with other event filmmakers so that we all may continue to survive, thrive and serve.

Admission to In[Focus] 2012 is $575 thru November 24th, $650 until the event and $700 for walkups. In addition, presenters will be offering private workshops for more intensive, hands on experiences. To register, visit http://www.infocusvideoevent.com/2012-video-education.
