Simply terrific and instructive directly from of the great cinematographers still alive. It should be seen by anybody interested in film as something more than a clip exercise or slow motion showcases to death. The point is if you want to learn the craft, be prepared for the many years that it will take. No good for the fast and furious of today.
Thank you for producing this brilliant documentary. It should be required viewing in all schools that teach film making. I’m a 35+ year veteran of this business and much of what was in this, made me think about what I do and how I do it. This reminds me of Visions of Light, another required viewing documentary for all film makers.
i think their doing very good job at explaining what really cant be explained by the english language when talking about light 🙂 light is ……..

This shows that light and the Artist imagination with his camera creates an image
just like an ‘Artist’ but this Artist is a Cinematographer!
