The battery plate
delivers 12 volts of power to all of your camera accessories.
Zacuto doesn’t usually power cameras unless they are 12 volts
because power surges can damage the cameras voltage regulator as
well as the camera. The Battery Plate mounts to the Zacuto Red
Plate, (which mounts to the DoubleMount).

Depth-of-Field Adapter (DOF)

creating shallow (less) depth-of-field. The DOF adapter emulates
the depth-of-field of a 35mm motion picture camera and reproduces it
on a 1/3" chip of a video camera.
1. My depth-of-field adapter allows me to have my actor in the
foreground sharp and my actor 3 feet behind him out of focus.
Device used to
move the camera through space. The dolly also lets a person view
the scene from a moving vantage point.
1. Let's create a curve here so the dolly can move around the
actor.
Device attached to
15mm rods used to mount (2) 3/8 16" and (2) 1/4 20" articulating
arms or (2) Zround mounts for use with (2) Zamerican arms, ZUDS or
15mm rods. The DoubleMount also attaches to the Zacuto Red Plate.

DP is responsible for the look of the picture. That includes
lighting and camera movement.

Device used for
pulling focus from pre-rehearsed marks made on a white disk. As the
actors move or the focus needs to be changed, the focus puller turns
the wheel and adjusts the focus accordingly. Thus repeatable focus
is achieved.
1. As soon as John finishes his lines, use the follow focus to rack
to Judy in the background.
The Zacuto HVX200
Heavy Load Support (HVX-HLS) helps to support the HVX200 handle
against potentially harmful downward pressure.
1. I installed my Heavy Load Support in 2 seconds and now my HVX200
handle is protected.

1. I attached my Q-Release towards the front of the baseplate to
achieve perfect camera package balance.
The
Lunchbox is an 11 pound counterbalance weight mounted on the
back of the camera package while shooting hand-held. In order for a
camera to be balanced, it needs an equal amount of weight on the
back of the camera package as well as on the front. It sounds heavy
but as long as it is balanced, it will feel right.
1. I balanced my camera package by using a Zacuto Lunchbox.

A custom
HVX200 repeatable focus ring with stops. The Zacuto Repeatable
Focus Gear is the only product of its kind to allow the HVX200
to switch between having standard hard stops at minimum
focus/infinity and Macro mode.

focus to my HVX200.

The Whip snaps
into the Follow Focus allowing users to adjust focus from above,
below or while moving on a dolly. In CU shots just touching the
follow focus adds some vibration to your shot. The Zacuto Whip works

A Zacuto Wireless
Adapter is a bracket that mounts to a Zacuto Wireless Plate and
allows any Z-Lock to be mounted to it. Thus, you can now mount your
Wireless Plate on any size rod.
1. I attached my wireless adapter to my wireless plate and then
screwed a 19mm Z-Lock to it. Now I can place a Wireless mic on a
19mm rod.
