In order for a camera to be balanced, it needs an equal amount of weight on the back of the camera package as well as on the front.  It sounds heavy but as long as it is balanced, it will feel right.

The Zacuto Universal ZipGear works on any camera, prime or zoom lens. The kit comes with 16" plastic gear and black gear locking housing. Just wrap the gear around the lens, cut to size, press on the gear locking housing and tighten. Installation takes one minute. Since the gear does not add any girth to the lens, this unique gear keeps the rotation of the lens the same.

The Zoffset allows you to shift the lightweight support rods 3 inches to the right and 2 inches up, thus enabling you to position your eye in the viewfinder of most palm camcorders with viewfinders in the back and center.
