As usual Carlos creates magic in "The Can," I can't imagine why he only got an honorable mention in a 2D animate film. Wonderful emotion in Carlos' characters, with life like expressions in the eyes. Wonderful sound design and foley work, including the projector effect. The camera work, if you can call it that, is also great, it has a hand held feel.
Although, the last scene, the shot could be different to me. When they drive off, the music ends, I'd like to see a more shocked expression on the man’s face and not have the final wide shot. It just seems like an extra shot, or what I like to call, “a false or redundant end” ending, but that doesn't affect this funny and quirky spot. Great job Carlos!
