“Moonboy” by MoreFrames

I really enjoyed watching Moonboy because not only was there so much truth to it, but I really believed that this little boy wanted more out of life. In the beginning, the shot of his mother smoking, and then him sitting on the floor at night, watching commercials gave me a sense of maybe a broken home. The commercials were kind of like chapters that you would read in a book; each one continued to tell a story…an exaggerated one, but so true to how today's commercials are. Heroin chic. Hilarious. The animation was amazing…whether it was all of his facial expressions, or even just the small touch of him pulling up his shirt from his shoulder. Sound Design continued to tell the story of this boy…I love the sound of him breathing when he was running, really gave you the feeling that he wanted to escape the world he was in….and just when you thought the story was over…he was on the moon. Just a fresh breath of air. I loved the concept. {C}
