Director
Jason Wingrove is a Sydney based, internationally awarded and recognised director and often cinematographer of drama, talent, comedy and performance TVC’s. He also shoots high end corporate work, award wining short films and documentaries.
Born in the UK and growing up a short walk from Pinewood Studio, he emigrated to Australia as a teenager after achieving the highest marks in film school it was straight into the camera department where he virtually grew up on set. After a decade as focus puller, camera operator and finally DP for hundreds of directors round the world he honed his directing craft simply watching and learning how to do it (and how not to do it) His work has garnered him international acclaim and respect as well as, Clio, Axis, MADC, ATV, A.W.A.R.D. and Cannes awards.
He is also co-host of the popular ‘TheRCpodcast’ for FXGuide.com Together with post production specialist Mike Seymour, they discus digital cinematography, filmmaking, DSLR’s & workflow and cutting edge imaging.
